sweatlist ("sweatlist," "we," "us") helps you discover, rate, and rank gyms, studios, and fitness classes, and connect with friends. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account: your email address and password (passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored only as secure hashes).
• Profile: the name, username, city, bio, workout preferences, and profile photo you choose to add.
• Your activity: the studios and classes you rate, rank, save, and the messages and reactions you post.
• Location: if you allow it, your device location is used only while the app is in use to show nearby studios and classes. You can decline and still use the app.
• Contacts (optional): if you choose to find friends, phone numbers from your contacts are hashed on your device using a one-way SHA-256 hash. Only these irreversible hashes are sent to us to match existing users. Your raw contacts and phone numbers are never uploaded or stored.
• Photos: photos you choose to attach to a rating, and camera access only when you take one.
• Usage & device data: basic diagnostic and usage information to keep the app working and improve it.

How we use your information

• To provide the app — sign-in, your lists, rankings, and profile.
• To show relevant studios and classes near you and personalize recommendations.
• To connect you with friends and show friends' activity.
• To keep the app safe, fix bugs, and improve features.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who run the app on our behalf — our hosting, database, and authentication provider (Supabase), and Google Places (for studio and class information). They process data only to provide these services.
• Other users — your public profile and activity (ratings, rankings, and posts you make) are visible to people you connect with, consistent with the app's social features.
• Legal — if required by law or to protect users and the service.

Your choices & rights

• Permissions: location, contacts, camera, and photos are all optional and controlled in your device settings.
• Delete your account: you can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app.
• Access or questions: contact us anytime (below).

Data retention & security

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our systems. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children

sweatlist is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
